Circus looking building off of the east side of Navy Pier in Chicago, IL?
I was visiting Navy Pier today and noticed that when I got to the furthest east side (facing open Lake Michigan) that off to the left there was a colorful building/thing in the middle of the water, it looked like a circus tent. Does anyone know what this is, the significance of it, or where I can find more information about this?

It was and still IS a crib house. It keeps our drinking water clean. There used to be people who would live out there and monitor the cribs…now it’s all computers.
